Simpel Session 11 opens World Cup Skateboarding 2011 World Tour
Simpel Session 2011 will be the first stop on the 2011 WCS World Tour and a part of the WCS pro street points series for the next three years. According to WCS coordinator Dave Duncan, who has been MC-ing the Simpel Session skateboarding comps for several years now, says WCS is happy to finally be a part of this exciting event and action packed weekend in Tallinn.
“All of the top European skaters and skaters worldwide come together here to celebrate the spirit of skateboarding. The courses are always world class and the jam session format makes it fun for the skaters and exciting for the fans,” Duncan commented. “Also, the town of Tallinn has a lot of history and makes for some great sight-seeing!”
Some 60 riders from all over the world will be collecting points for the WCS pro street rankings at Simpel Session 11: including Greg Lutzka, Ryan Sheckler, Austen Seaholm, Chris Haslam, as well as 2009. world street and miniramp champ and Simpel Session 2009 winner Axel Cruysbergs from Belgium and last year's medallists Tim Zom (NL) and Sami Miettinen (FIN).
The Simpel Session 11 event will feature several side events this year, with BMX and skate film screenings and photo exhibitions setting off already on the 2nd of February.
